First Responders make History by Performing 6,000 Chest Compressions in 60 Minutes

With the aim to achieve the world record in process, a team of cardiac first responders carried out 6,000 chest compressions in just 60 minutes. This record was set at the Martello last Saturday. It was part of a CPR marathon, where the volunteers from all over Wicklow did four minutes spell each at a time from morning till evening. The organizers are now waiting for the record to get the official confirmation from the Guinness World Record organization. Moreover, Wicklow Rapid Response was also launched on the day by a European boxing champion Garda Adam Nolan. The new volunteer emergency medical services for Wicklow as well as Bray Cardiac First Responders hosted the event.
